This past weeked we met up with my brother, Kristen, and Natalie for a little camping and fishing. There was a little luck with the fishing, that is until Luke wrecked the boat into some rocks (see below), putting the boat out of commission for the rest of the weekend. In his defense, this reservoire is VERY tricky with lots of channels and crazy landforms/ islands right in the middle of the lake, which is what they hit. Apparently it went from 6 feet to NOTHING and he had gone through that exact channel 2 times prior! It's not good, the boat is his other baby so it's pretty devastating :-) I have faith he'll recover, both him and the boat! Anyway, we still had a good time, and the kids had a great time playing together. And then the run of bad luck struck again, this time in the form of a NASTY storm. Lots of rain and high winds confined us to the camper for quite some time. We held strong though and managed to have a good dinner and a good time. All in all is was an eventful, fun weekend.
